About Lauren Sowers

I’ve been a licensed private investigator for over a decade, and have played a pivotal role in countless conflicts big and small. I’ve spent years devoted to arming up one side or another, providing evidence or background information that places one party into submission. Throughout that time, I had a nagging feeling about many cases that other solutions were available. Solutions that didn’t need to involve costly litigation, and didn’t require the parties to surrender their peace of mind or too much of their time. I pursued mediator training in Charlotte with Mediation, Inc., and became even more energized to build a mediation practice.

To hire me is to make a unique choice in North Carolina, because unlike most mediators in our state certified to conduct mediations at the Superior Court level, I am not an attorney. I received my certification from the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission to participate in their Mediated Settlement Conference program.

I believe in a creative and energetic approach to mediation, where we work together toward the common goal: moving on. I’ll bring the compass, and together with all the parties involved, we find a way out.

We find solutions:

  • For Superior Court cases: Certified by the NCDRC to conduct mediations for cases that land in Superior Court in the state of North Carolina.

  • For businesses pre/post litigation: Resolve disputes for businesses and organizations, before or after they reach litigation.

  • For businesses in-house: Resolve disputes and consult on dispute resolution best practices and help reform conflict management structures within businesses.

  • In collaboration with individual clients: On a one-on-one basis to improve their work-related conflict resolution skills and results.

  • At the community level: We conduct community mediations, especially those in the interest of public service.

  • For families: Custody plans, cost sharing, and other agreements to optimize co-parenting and create more harmony at home.
